SeaMap Tasmania Benthic Habitat Map for Nearshore Coastal Waters

The SeaMap Tasmania project compiled the first statewide assimilated benthic habitat dataset for Tasmania's nearshore coastline. It was created by collating aerial photography, acoustic mapping, underwater video surveys, and field observations to produce 1:25,000 scale habitat maps for waters up to 40 meters deep or 1.5 km from shore. The data is also part of the national Seamap Australia National Benthic Habitat Layer.
