Seascapes of the Australian Margin and Adjacent Seabed

Seascapes describing ecologically meaningful biophysical variables for potential seabed habitats have been derived for the Australian margin and adjacent seabed. A total of 13 seascapes were derived for the continental shelf and nine for regions beyond it using unsupervised ISOCLASS classification in ERMapper. The ecological significance is assessed at national, regional, and local scales using existing biological data.
