A hydrodynamic model adapted for the Torres Strait-Gulf of Papua region at 0.051-degree resolution investigates sediment dispersal pathways. The model, validated against current meter data and tidal sea levels, analyzes sediment mobility due to currents, waves, and their interactions across Trade and Monsoon seasons. Sediment input into Torres Strait is approximately 10% greater during the Trade season.
