Thirty crossbred heifers were divided into three groups to evaluate serum progesterone concentration after treatment with a new intravaginal device for 8 days. The study, authored by H. L. D. Neri, measured hormone levels via radioimmunoassay on days 0, 3, 5, and 8. Results indicate that animals with higher endogenous progesterone promoted less release of exogenous progesterone from the device.
