2002 CDC guidelines provide updated recommendations for treating and managing sexually transmitted diseases. The guidelines were updated in 2013 after consultation with a panel of STD experts convened in Atlanta. They cover alternative gonorrhea regimens, nucleic acid tests for trichomoniasis, genital wart treatments, and management of transgender persons.
