Description
19 May 2021 – 22 Sep 2021 bathymetry survey of the Lacepede Channel, Western Australia, conducted for the Australian Hydrographic Office. Data was acquired using a Kongsberg EM2040 Mk II multibeam echosounder onboard the MV Pacific Conquest and USV Blue Shadow - 901, and processed with Caris Hips & Sips software. The final product is a 30-meter resolution, 32-bit floating point GeoTIFF grid.
Use Cases
Model seabed topography based on high-resolution bathymetric data.
Analyze underwater channel morphology based on the processed GeoTIFF grid.
Support marine habitat mapping based on the detailed depth information.
Integrate with nautical charting systems based on the survey's hydrographic purpose.
Strengths
Survey conducted over a defined period from 19 May 2021 to 22 Sep 2021.
Data processed to a specific 30-meter grid resolution.
Acquired using a named, high-end sensor (Kongsberg EM2040 Mk II).
Limitations
