Statistical habitat models predict Significant Aggregations of Krill (SAK) in eastern Canadian waters to support blue whale conservation. The analysis identifies areas covering less than 2% of the spatial domain where dense krill aggregations are likely to occur. This dataset, produced by Fisheries and Oceans Canada in 2016, uses Generalized Additive Models (GAMs) to link krill distribution with environmental conditions.
