Description
ANTEA's 2010 flood risk study produced a hazard map for the Portigliolo, Formicolosa, and Zirione catchment areas in the municipalities of Coti-Chiavari and Pietrosella. The dataset represents areas exposed to one or more hazards, with zoning graduated according to hazard level based on probability and intensity. The data is provided by the Bureau de Recherches Géologiques et Minières and was last updated in August 2021.
Use Cases
Modeling flood risk for land-use planning based on the graduated hazard zoning.
Assessing the impact of protective structures on hazard exposure based on their representation in the data.
Integrating synthesized hazard data from multiple sources for environmental impact studies.
Strengths
Based on a specific 2010 flood risk study by ANTEA, providing a documented methodology.
Includes areas behind protective structures, accounting for potential failure scenarios.
Represents a synthesis of multiple calculated, modeled, or observed hazard data sources.
Limitations
Last updated 2021-08-19 00:00:00; freshness should be verified.
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
