Description
Tables of areas where a water rise hazard falls within a fixed range of values, produced for the GIS High Flood Risk Directive (TRI). The data series supports flood risk management plans under European Directive 2007/60/EC, aiming to reduce flood consequences on health, environment, and the economy. The dataset is used to produce flood surface and risk maps for three probability levels (high, medium, low).
Use Cases
Producing flood surface maps based on water height ranges mentioned in the description
Creating flood risk maps representing hazards and exposed issues on an appropriate scale
Assessing territorial vulnerability for high, medium, and low probability flooding scenarios
Supporting the development of flood risk management plans (PGRIs) as required by EU Directive 2007/60/EC
Strengths
Produced under the European Flood Directive (2007/60/EC) for standardized reporting
Designed to provide quantitative evidence for three levels of flood probability
