Description
Urban Displacement Plans (PDUs) are compulsory planning documents for French agglomerations with over 100,000 inhabitants. They define principles for the transport of goods and persons, covering all travel modes including motor vehicles, public transport, two-wheelers, and pedestrians. The dataset, provided by the Bureau de Recherches Géologiques et Minières, includes only PDUs in preparation or validated as of January 27, 2021.
Use Cases
Analyzing modal shift strategies based on the defined principles for all travel modes.
Evaluating parking policy integration based on the principles to be included in Local Urban Plans (LLUs).
Assessing traffic reduction targets for improving air quality and reducing noise nuisances.
Mapping the status of transport planning documents across the Upper Rhine region.
Strengths
Focuses on a specific, mandatory planning instrument for large agglomerations.
Covers a comprehensive scope of transport modes as described in the document.
Limitations
Row count and file formats are unknown, limiting suitability assessment.
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
