Data from a single radar-based Speed Check Sign (DFS041) in Edmonton, accumulated and reported in 15-minute intervals. The City of Edmonton's data.edmonton.ca platform provides records of vehicle counts within specific speed bins, capturing both the highest and slowest speed detected per vehicle. The dataset was last updated on March 31, 2026.
Each Speed Check Sign installation has its own separate dataset. The device has a theoretical detectable speed range of approximately 6 km/hr to 225 km/hr. Speed values are binned (Bin 1 to Bin 10), not recorded as continuous measurements.
