Description
ResearchNed's Startmonitor project, conducted annually since 2008-2009, tracks the information use, study choice process, and first-year integration of new students in Dutch higher education. The survey for the 2022-2023 academic year includes two waves, administered in September and June, aiming to identify determinants of study success and dropout. The dataset is managed by DANS Data Station Social Sciences and Humanities Collection and was last updated in October 2025.
Use Cases
Modeling predictors of first-year student dropout based on survey responses about study choice and integration.
