Geoscience Australia compiled reports on quarantine procedures and parts analysis for debris recovered during the search for Malaysia Airlines flight MH370. The Boeing 777-200ER disappeared on 8 March 2014 with 227 passengers and 12 crew aboard. The Australian Transport Safety Bureau coordinated the search in the southern Indian Ocean, with Geoscience Australia providing laboratory analysis support.
