3521 feet was the total depth drilled for the Wandagee No. 1 Well in Western Australia's Carnarvon Basin. The well, drilled by Oil Drilling and Exploration for West Australian Petroleum Pty Limited between April and June 1962, penetrated a sequence from Quaternary sands down to the Silurian-Ordovician Tumblagooda Sandstone. A full program of logging, testing, and coring was undertaken to investigate the oil potential of Devonian and older rocks.
