The dataset from the Australian Ocean Data Network details the Southwest Bairnsdale No. 1 well drilled in Victoria's Gippsland Basin. The well was drilled to a depth of 3926 feet between January 8 and February 14, 1963, with a full program of coring and logging undertaken. It achieved its objectives of obtaining stratigraphic data and testing hydrocarbon potential, though no shows of hydrocarbons were found.
