325 premature neonates were studied to evaluate caffeine citrate therapy for apnea of prematurity. The prospective observational study, authored by Adela-Valeria Neamțu, compared outcomes between groups with high, normal, and no caffeine serum concentrations. Results indicated major complications like intracranial hemorrhage (5.33%) and convulsions followed by death (4.00%) in the caffeine group.
