Pediatric Scoliosis Surgery Blood Transfusion Risk Score, 2018-2023

A retrospective cohort study of 1,992 pediatric patients under 18 years who underwent scoliosis surgery at two tertiary care centers between January 2018 and May 2023. The dataset was used to develop a preoperative risk score predicting perioperative blood transfusion, with a transfusion rate of 32.9%. The model was created by Peng Gao and published on figshare in 2026.
