An exploratory pilot study by Irene Cambra-Badii from 2026 compared the use of audiovisual triggers from a medical TV series with traditional paper-based cases in problem-based learning for medical students. Two groups of five students each worked on one clinical and one bioethical case presented in different formats, with knowledge tests and questionnaires administered before, immediately after, and six months post-session. The study primarily explored patterns of learning, feasibility, and student perceptions.
