Description
Xiaoli Kong collected peripheral whole blood samples from acute ischemic stroke patients and healthy controls for transcriptome expression profiling analysis of mRNA, microRNA, and lncRNA. The dataset includes differentially expressed RNAs and constructs a ceRNA regulatory network, identifying key targets NFKBIA, TNFAIP6, ORM1, FN1, and MMP9. Molecular docking simulations suggest FN1 and MMP9 can bind to therapeutic drugs like Acetylsalicylic acid.
Use Cases
Constructing ceRNA regulatory networks based on differentially expressed mRNA, miRNA, and lncRNA data
Identifying potential drug targets based on upregulated mRNA combined with Drugbank database information
Validating predicted targets via molecular docking simulation with existing therapeutic drugs
Strengths
Dataset includes transcriptome profiling of mRNA, microRNA, and lncRNA from patient and control samples
Analysis identifies specific targets NFKBIA, TNFAIP6, ORM1, FN1, and MMP9
Molecular docking simulation performed with Acetylsalicylic acid
Limitations
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment
Data may reflect bias inherent to the specific patient cohort studied
