Description
A cross-sectional study of 205 pediatric leukemia patients undergoing chemotherapy in Shandong Province, China, from October 2024 to February 2025. The dataset includes questionnaire data on physical activity levels, symptom burden, maternal support, and exercise self-efficacy, analyzed using multiple linear regression. It was authored by Yuchen Chu and published on figshare under a CC-BY-4.0 license.
Use Cases
Modeling physical activity levels based on chemotherapy phase and symptom burden.
Analyzing the influence of maternal support and exercise self-efficacy on patient activity.
Identifying predictors for low physical activity in pediatric oncology to inform clinical rehabilitation programs.
Strengths
Dataset includes 205 patient records with a mean age of 9.47 years and a gender breakdown (57.6% male).
Multiple linear regression analysis identified significant predictors, collectively explaining 47.7% of the variance in physical activity levels.
Specific activity intensity levels are reported: 87.3% low-intensity, 29.3% moderate-intensity, and 4.9% vigorous-intensity.
Limitations
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment.
Data reflects a specific geographic and temporal bias, collected from two hospitals in Shandong Province over a 5-month period.
