306 evaluable bacterial isolates from positive blood cultures were tested across 12 hospitals in the UK, Germany, Sweden, Italy, and Portugal. The study compared the novel QuickMIC rapid antimicrobial susceptibility testing system, which delivers results in 2–4 hours, to standard local laboratory methods. Workflow analysis revealed a potential reduction in turnaround time of 17–45 hours, with 88% of tests providing actionable results within the same clinical shift.
