A 31.1 KB dataset from figshare, last updated March 18, 2026, characterizes microbial communities associated with the medicinal plant Coptis chinensis var. brevisepala. It includes data on 177 core bacterial and 146 core fungal genera from rhizosphere soils across four sites, plus endophytic communities from leaves, rhizomes, and fibrous roots. The data was generated by author Cuiting Chen using high-throughput sequencing to analyze correlations with soil properties and functional traits.
