Description
Dataset S1 contains SEM-EDS spectra for various synthetic peptidomelanin polymers (A1-A6, B2-B6, C1-C4) and their uranium-bound forms, including concentration series and groundwater incubation tests. Dataset S2 provides HPLC and ESI-MS quality control reports for synthesized peptides MEEEE, CEEEE, EEEEC, and CGGPGDP. The data supports a 2026 publication on functionalized peptidomelanin for groundwater uranium extraction.
Use Cases
Analyze uranium binding efficiency of different polymer formulations based on SEM-EDS spectra.
Validate peptide synthesis purity and quality based on HPLC and ESI-MS QC reports.
Model adsorption isotherms for uranium extraction based on concentration series data.
Compare synthetic polymer performance to natural peptidomelanin based on uranium-bound spectra.
Strengths
Data is directly linked to a peer-reviewed publication in ACS Omega.
Includes multiple experimental conditions: polymers A, B, C, uranium-bound forms, and a 1-10,000 ppm concentration series.
File size is 41.2 MB, indicating a substantial collection of analytical data.
Limitations
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment.
Data may reflect experimental bias inherent to the specific synthesis and testing methods described.
