Description
A study of 1,708 first-episode, drug-naïve patients with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), categorized by early (18-44 years) and late (45-60 years) onset. The dataset includes clinical assessments (HAMD, HAMA, PS-PANSS scores), thyroid hormone levels (TSH, FT3, FT4), and demographic information. It was published on figshare under a CC-BY-4.0 license and last updated in April 2026.
Use Cases
Investigating the association between thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) levels and suicide attempts in MDD.
Analyzing differences in clinical risk factors (e.g., disease duration, anxiety severity) between early- and late-onset MDD groups.
Modeling the relationship between subclinical hypothyroidism and psychiatric symptom severity based on HAMD and HAMA scores.
Strengths
Includes data from 1,708 patient records, providing a substantial sample size for analysis.
