A figshare admin karger published a case report on 2026-05-09 detailing an unusual intraocular tumor in a child. The 577.0 KB PDF includes clinical findings, imaging (ultrasound, MRI), pathology, immunohistochemistry, and comprehensive molecular testing results from a single patient with 10-year follow-up. The tumor, provisionally named 'endopapillary uveal melanocytic tumor of childhood,' exhibited unique features without known genetic abnormalities associated with uveal melanoma.
Use Cases
Comparative pathology analysis based on the described histopathologic examination of a densely pigmented tumor growing around vascular 'papillae'
Radiology feature study based on the MRI scan details including T1 precontrast hyperintensity and T2-weighted low signal intensity
Molecular oncology research based on the comprehensive genetic testing results from MSK-IMPACT and Archer Fusion testing that revealed no abnormalities
Clinical case review for rare disease diagnosis based on the 10-year follow-up data showing no evidence of recurrence
Strengths
Includes 10-year clinical follow-up data for a single patient case
