563 open-ended survey responses from 20 countries provide an international perspective on the functional, rhetorical, and critical uses of Generative AI in education and research. The dataset was created by Ehsan Mohammadi and last updated in April 2026. A dual qualitative analysis approach, combining inductive thematic analysis with deductive coding from two AI literacy frameworks, was applied to the responses.
