Description
The Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS) dataset from 2000-2001 contains state-level surveillance data on maternal health behaviors linked to birth certificates. Data from eight U.S. states covers four key behaviors: smoking and alcohol use during pregnancy, breastfeeding initiation, and infant sleep position. The dataset was produced by the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion to monitor disparities by race, ethnicity, education, and income.
