Description
A 1996 survey conducted by Cefas aboard the Corystes between August 23 and September 16. It includes station, catch, length, and biological data for 84 species from 161 stations in the Irish Sea and Bristol Channel, collected using 4m beam trawls and a CTD profiler. The data supports EU regulations and ICES research programs.
Use Cases
Calculate species abundance indices based on catch data from 161 stations.
Analyze species length distributions for stock assessment mentioned in the description.
Correlate fish catch data with environmental variables like water temperature and salinity.
Study benthic community composition using the trawl survey data.
Support marine litter research using the litter collection data mentioned.
