A cohort of 380 adult patients with acute heart failure admitted to a tertiary hospital in south Brazil from 2009 to 2011. The data, analyzed by Lucas Célia Petersen, tracks survival and cardiovascular mortality across three ejection fraction groups over a median follow-up of 4.0 years. Most patients had preserved ejection fraction (51%), followed by reduced (32%) and mid-range (17%).
