Meta-Analysis of 18F-FDG PET/CT for Predicting Lung Cancer Treatment Response

Fourteen studies with 1,315 subjects were analyzed to evaluate the diagnostic performance of 18F-FDG PET/CT metabolic parameters for predicting pathological response to neoadjuvant therapy in non-small cell lung cancer. The meta-analysis, authored by Yaoyu Wu and last updated in May 2026, found that ΔSUVmax% achieved an area under the curve of 0.96. The results suggest these metrics could serve as noninvasive tools for response assessment.
