22 Antarctic bacterial and yeast isolates were characterized and screened for freezing resistance. Intracellular and extracellular protein-rich extracts from four selected strains were evaluated for cryoprotective activity in E. coli, HEK293 cells, and adenovirus systems over 30–60 days. The dataset, authored by Joana Camila Lopes and last updated in April 2026, highlights Antarctic microorganisms as a source of natural cryoprotective compounds.
