1,080 participants under 18 years old were included in a retrospective study investigating a novel biomarker for active tuberculosis (ATB). The research, authored by Jinyu Chen and last updated in April 2026, compares ATB patients (n=904) to non-TB controls (n=176) using the logarithmic lymphocyte-albumin product (logLAP). Results indicate logLAP levels were significantly lower in ATB patients and the biomarker showed an area under the curve (AUC) of 0.6955 in diagnostic analysis.
