A longitudinal cohort study of 3,829 middle-aged and older adults in China investigates the association between 20 obesity and lipid indexes and rapid kidney function decline (RKFD) or progression to chronic kidney disease (CKD). The analysis, authored by Wen-Ze Jiang and posted on figshare, used multivariate logistic regression, restricted cubic spline analysis, and ROC curve analysis to assess and compare the predictive value of non-invasive and invasive anthropometric indexes. The study identified 192 cases of RKFD and 60 cases of CKD progression.
