Description
Six fertilization treatments with varying N:P:K ratios were applied to Crithmum maritimum (sea fennel) over three consecutive growing periods from 2021 to 2023. The dataset includes measurements of fresh biomass yield, proximate composition, sugars, organic acids, tocopherols, fatty acids, phenolic compounds, antioxidant activity, and antimicrobial properties. Authored by Beatriz H. Paschoalinotto and shared under a CC-BY-4.0 license, the data is stored in a 20.7 KB DOCX file.
Use Cases
Modeling the relationship between N:P:K fertilizer ratios and fresh biomass yield based on harvest data.
Analyzing the effect of fertilization on fatty acid profiles and PUFA/SFA ratios mentioned in the description.
Investigating how nutrient inputs influence antioxidant activity measured via TBARS and OxHLIA assays.
Comparing phenolic compound content and antimicrobial properties across different harvest periods and treatments.
Strengths
Data covers three consecutive growing periods from 2021 to 2023.
Includes six distinct fertilization treatments plus a control, enabling comparative analysis.
Assesses a wide range of biochemical and functional properties as listed in the methodology.
Limitations
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment.
The dataset is very small at 20.7 KB, indicating limited scope.
