35 isolates of extended-spectrum β-lactamase–producing Escherichia coli were characterized from 101 clinically healthy ungulates at Al Ain Zoo in the United Arab Emirates. The dataset includes phenotypic antimicrobial susceptibility testing results and whole-genome sequencing data for resistome, virulome, plasmid, and phylogenetic analyses. It provides a genomic baseline for ESBL-producing E. coli in zoo-housed ungulates in the Middle East region.
Dataset is a small (21.6 KB) XLSX file containing summarized study results, not raw sequencing reads. Use requires understanding of antimicrobial resistance terminology and microbiology. Released under CC BY 4.0 license.
