Description
From January 2021 to December 2023, this dataset contains anonymized medical records for 122 patients diagnosed with heart failure at a tertiary hospital in Quito, Ecuador, located at approximately 2,800 meters. It was created by Vladimir Ullauri and provides demographic, clinical, and outcome variables. The study includes exploratory univariate analyses comparing patients by discharge survival status.
Use Cases
Analyze demographic patterns of heart failure patients based on age and gender distribution mentioned in the results.
Investigate associations between comorbidities like hypertension and atrial fibrillation and patient outcomes based on the described variables.
Identify exploratory factors linked to in-hospital mortality based on the univariate analyses described for dialysis dependency and immunologic diseases.
Characterize the clinical profile of heart failure in a high-altitude setting based on the described patient cohort and hospital location.

Contains data on 122 patients diagnosed with heart failure.
Includes a specific time range from January 2021 to December 2023.
