34.5 KB of tabular data from a two-year comparative field study on forest conversion effects on soil carbon cycling. The dataset, authored by Xin Huang and last updated in 2026, shows a 25.52% increase in total soil respiration after conversion from Pinus elliottii to Eucalyptus urophylla × E. grandis. It was collected using paired adjacent plots and continuous in-situ observations in subtropical coastal sandy lands.
