111 patients undergoing pancreaticoduodenectomy for periampullary tumors were assessed for quality of life changes from before surgery to 12 months post-discharge. The prospective cohort study was conducted at the University Medical Center of Ho Chi Minh City by Dat Tien Le, with data collected from January 2019 to May 2021. QoL declined at 1 month post-surgery but improved from 3 months onward, surpassing pre-treatment levels.
