Deep-Sea Amphipod DNA Sequences from a High-Seas Marine Protected Area

253 newly generated cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) sequences from deep-sea amphipods, including 99 from the North Atlantic Current and Evlanov Sea basin (NACES) marine protected area. The data was produced by Anne-Nina Lörz and includes sequences from the Labrador Sea, Azores, and other global populations for biogeographic comparison. A single epibenthic sledge haul at 3,677 meters depth in the NACES MPA revealed 47 molecular operational taxonomic units (MOTUs) from 98 sequenced individuals.
