Description
A multi-omics dataset characterizes soil phenotypes, microbiomes, and metabolomes from five sampling sites near the Moutai production area across spring and autumn. The data was generated by Qiong Li using high-throughput sequencing and untargeted metabolomics, and was last updated in April 2026. It explores geographical and seasonal variations in soil ecological profiles.
Use Cases
Identify region-specific microbial markers based on soil microbiome data.
Analyze seasonal effects on soil metabolite profiles, particularly in Region A.
Perform multi-omics correlation analysis to link microbial taxa like Ascomycota with flavor precursor metabolites.
Study the ecological foundation of Jiang-flavor Baijiu production based on geographical sampling.
Strengths
Data integrates three analysis types: soil phenotypes, microbiomes, and metabolomes.
Sampling covers five distinct geographical sites and two seasons (spring and autumn).
Multi-omics correlation analysis identified specific associations, such as between Ascomycota and flavor precursors.
Limitations
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment.
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
The dataset is small (10.7 KB), indicating limited scope or summary-level data.
