Fifty-four children with types 1–3 spinal muscular atrophy were included in this single-center retrospective study from the United Arab Emirates. The research, published on figshare under CC-BY-4.0, assessed the prevalence and severity of hip dislocation/subluxation and its association with scoliosis and SMN2 copy numbers. Hip dislocation in both hips was most prevalent in type 1 SMA patients, while fewer SMN2 copies correlated with a higher likelihood of scoliosis.
The primary data file is a DOCX document (21.8 KB), which is a very small size likely containing summary tables rather than raw patient-level data.
