Description
A seven-gene prognostic signature derived from the MitoCarta3.0 database and validated across four public datasets. The signature, comprising UCP2, FAM162A, ACCS, HSD1, ACSF2, PPIF, and SDHA, predicts survival and correlates with immune microenvironment features in acute myeloid leukemia. The 271.1 KB Excel file was authored by Rui Dou and last updated on May 19, 2026.
Use Cases
Training survival prediction models based on the seven-gene mitochondrial pathway signature.
Analyzing associations between mitochondrial gene expression and immune checkpoint molecule levels in AML.
Validating prognostic biomarkers for acute myeloid leukemia using external GEO datasets.
Investigating the biological role of specific genes like UCP2 in leukemia cell proliferation and migration.
Strengths
Prognostic signature validated across four independent datasets (TCGA-LAML, GSE10358, GSE106291, GSE71014).
Includes experimental validation of UCP2 gene function via in vitro knockdown assays.
Released under a permissive CC-BY-4.0 license for reuse.
Limitations
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment.
Data may reflect bias inherent to the specific public repositories used.
