Description
Between October 2022 and April 2023, a cross-sectional study collected 1,006 survey responses from residents of Shanghai, China, to assess knowledge, attitudes, and practices regarding fatty liver disease. The dataset includes sociodemographic information and KAP scores, with average knowledge, attitude, and practice scores of 7.06, 40.02, and 31.09 respectively. The study was authored by Xue Yang and shared under a CC-BY-4.0 license.
Use Cases
Analyze correlations between knowledge, attitude, and practice scores based on the reported structural equation modeling results.
Model demographic factors influencing health knowledge based on the sociodemographic information collected.
Benchmark public awareness levels for fatty liver disease based on the reported average KAP scores from a specific urban population.
Design targeted health education campaigns based on the identified gaps in knowledge and moderate practice levels.
Strengths
Includes 1,006 survey responses, providing a substantive sample size for analysis.
Reports specific average scores for knowledge (7.06 ± 2.26), attitude (40.02 ± 5.70), and practice (31.09 ± 6.85) domains.
Provides detailed statistical results including correlation (r=0.41) and path coefficients (β values) from structural equation modeling.
Limitations
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment for certain modeling tasks.
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
The description notes the cross-sectional design and convenience sampling may limit the generalizability of the findings.
