Description
Preclinical evaluation data for a multi-epitope mRNA vaccine candidate, CoV2-BMEPu, designed for broad SARS-CoV-2 protection. The dataset includes results from in vitro expression, innate immune activation, and immunogenicity and protective efficacy studies in mouse models. Authored by Laura Marcos-Villar and published on figshare under a CC-BY-4.0 license in May 2026.
Use Cases
Benchmark vaccine immunogenicity based on antibody and T-cell response data described.
Analyze cross-variant neutralization breadth using results against ancestral and Omicron subvariants.
Model multi-epitope vaccine design strategies using the conserved regions from Spike, Membrane, and Nucleocapsid proteins mentioned.
Evaluate mRNA vaccine platform efficacy based on in vitro expression and in vivo protection results.
Strengths
Dataset includes results from multiple preclinical assays, including in vitro expression, antibody neutralization, and T-cell responses.
Protective efficacy is demonstrated with complete protection against lethal challenge in a transgenic mouse model.
The vaccine candidate targets conserved regions from multiple SARS-CoV-2 proteins (S, M, N) and RBD segments.
Limitations
Dataset size is very small at 31.6 KB, indicating limited scope.
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment.
