Description
2,592 fungal and 6,705 bacterial amplicon sequence variants (ASVs) were obtained from root, stem, and leaf samples of Peucedanum praeruptorum Dunn collected from September to December 2024. The dataset, authored by Bin Deng and shared under CC-BY-4.0, includes results from high-throughput sequencing and culture-dependent isolation, yielding 173 fungal and 39 bacterial strains. It documents spatiotemporal community heterogeneity and the screening of strains with plant growth-promoting traits.
Use Cases
Analyzing spatiotemporal heterogeneity of endophytic communities based on sampling month and plant organ data.
Screening for microbial strains with plant growth-promoting traits based on phosphate and potassium solubilization assay results.
Studying the dominance of specific microbial phyla like Proteobacteria and Ascomycota in a medicinal plant host.
Validating growth-promoting effects of isolated strains using co-cultivation data with Arabidopsis thaliana and P. praeruptorum.
Strengths
Includes 2,592 fungal and 6,705 bacterial amplicon sequence variants, providing a detailed community profile.
Successfully isolated 173 fungal and 39 bacterial strains for functional analysis.
Data covers multiple plant organs (root, stem, leaf) and a temporal series from September to December 2024.
Functional validation includes growth-promoting effect tests on two plant species.
Limitations
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment.
The dataset is small (14.8 KB), indicating limited scope or summary-level data.
