Survey Data on Illness Uncertainty and Preoperative Anxiety in Surgical Patients

342 surgical patients from a tertiary hospital in central China were surveyed from August to October 2025. The data includes scores from the Mishel Illness Uncertainty Scale, State-Trait Anxiety Inventory–State subscale, and the Short Version of the Mental Health Literacy Questionnaire for Adults.
