Description
A 201-item sample of Albanian media items from 11 outlets, analyzed for discourse on the TikTok ban. The dataset was created by Lorena Licenji and last updated on June 3, 2026. It contains coded items for stance, actor voice, primary frame, legitimation cues, and remedy constructions across announcement, enforcement, and rollback phases.
Use Cases
Analyzing shifts in media framing based on the coded primary frame variable across policy phases.
Studying the relationship between actor voice and stance toward the ban using the coded actor and stance columns.
Examining patterns of policy legitimation and re-legitimation through the coded legitimation cues and remedy constructions.
Strengths

Includes a main analytic sample of 235 items and a 201-item robustness sample for analysis validation.
