Description
A high-density genetic linkage map containing 4,035 bin markers across 13 linkage groups was constructed from an F2 population of 147 ridge gourd plants. Eight significant QTLs were identified, most clustering on LG3 into a major multi-trait hotspot anchored to a 7.03 Mb interval. The dataset, authored by Qin Chen and last updated in 2026, provides a genetic framework for dissecting early maturity in ridge gourd.
Use Cases
Fine mapping of candidate genes based on the 7.03 Mb hotspot interval on chromosome 3.
Marker-assisted breeding for early maturity traits using the identified QTLs and SNP markers.
Developmental-stage expression analysis targeting prioritized candidate genes Lac03g1231 and Lac03g1281.
Comparative genomics studies leveraging the high-density linkage map of 4,035 bin markers.
Strengths
High-density map constructed from 4,035 representative bin markers.
Analysis based on whole-genome resequencing of two parental lines and 144 F2 individuals.
Major QTL hotspot identified, providing a focused genetic target for breeding.
Limitations
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment.
The dataset is very small (11.7 KB), indicating limited raw data scope.
