Description
A 57.0 KB dataset from figshare, last updated March 25, 2026, containing results from a study that integrated single-cell transcriptome analysis and Mendelian randomization to identify prognostic genes in lung adenocarcinoma. The study, authored by Jiaxin Li, identified seven genes (VDAC1, TXNRD1, GDF15, TRIB3, LPL, KCNQ1, PKP2) associated with endoplasmic reticulum stress and butyrate metabolism. Findings were validated using RT-qPCR in non-small cell lung cancer cell lines and include a risk model, nomogram, and immune microenvironment analysis.
Use Cases
Validating prognostic gene signatures for lung cancer survival based on the seven identified genes (VDAC1, TXNRD1, GDF15, TRIB3, LPL, KCNQ1, PKP2).
Analyzing the association between endoplasmic reticulum stress, butyrate metabolism, and tumor progression in lung adenocarcinoma.
Building or benchmarking risk stratification models based on the described risk score and nomogram for 1-, 3-, and 5-year survival.
Investigating immune microenvironment composition in lung cancer based on the 13 differentially abundant immune cell types identified, including M1 macrophages.
Strengths
Identifies seven specific prognostic genes (VDAC1, TXNRD1, GDF15, TRIB3, LPL, KCNQ1, PKP2) with expression validated by RT-qPCR.
