Description
Bighead carp spleen data from a study of immune response to Aeromonas hydrophila infection. The dataset includes single-cell RNA sequencing results from 28,348 spleen cells, genomic survey results across 24 species, and expression profiling of 15 MAPK genes. It was authored by Yang Mao and last updated on April 13, 2026.
Use Cases
Analyze MAPK gene expression patterns in fish immune tissues based on tissue expression profiling and qRT-PCR results.
Identify cell-type-specific immune responses based on single-cell RNA sequencing of 28,348 spleen cells.
Study gene co-expression networks related to infection based on Weighted Gene Co-expression Network Analysis (WGCNA) modules.
Investigate cell-cell communication dynamics in myeloid lineages based on inferred tnf-tnfrsf1b signaling.
Perform pseudotime analysis on myeloid cell populations based on progressive upregulation of mapk6/mapk11.
Strengths
Single-cell RNA sequencing data from 28,348 spleen cells provides cell-type resolution.
Includes genomic survey of MAPK sequences across 24 species for comparative analysis.
Expression data validated by both transcriptomic sequencing and qRT-PCR methods.
Data is openly available under a CC-BY-4.0 license.
Limitations
Row count and column-level documentation are unknown, limiting suitability assessment.
The dataset is small (115.9 KB), suggesting it may contain summary or processed results rather than raw sequencing data.
